ACTIVITIES OF THE SOCIETY

1.Fundraiser organised at Don Bosco Oratary, Panjim at the Ganesh Chaturthi exhibition on 9th, 10th and 11th August, 2019. The physiotherapy centre and Starting point school contributed towards making of goods to be sold at the exhibition. Children and parents from both the centres prepared the sale items. The response received from the customers was very positive and the sale made at the end of the three day exhibition was satisfying.

2.Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration for the patients and parents was organised by Novi Survat on 30th August, 2019. The celebration started with Ganesh Aarti and some games organised for parents, children and the staff of the society.

3.Children’s Day Celebration was held on 15th November 2019 for the children of the Physiotherapy centre.
There were two parts to the function:
  •  Painting session for the children.
  • Art therapy for the parents.
Children had fun colouring their hands and hand printing their hands on the tree, while the parents engaged in art therapy. Parents had an emotional break through during the therapy session were they expressed their feelings of having a chid with different needs. Every parent felt special about their child’s achievements and a sense of fulfilment seeing their child reach a milestone.
4.Fundraiser held at Green amaze, Margao on 1st December, 2019.The physiotherapy centre and Starting point school contributed towards making of goods to be sold at the exhibition. Since it was a Christmas season exhibition the items for sale were handcrafted by the Children and parents from both the centres. Items for sale were candles, painted bottles, Christmas tree decorations, sweets and some handmade soaps. The response received from the customers was very positive.
