Dr Mina, retired Professor, Department of Pediatrics, Goa Medical College has always been drawn to the needy especially children with or without families. She felt challenged to reach out to dare to make a real difference in the lives of families having children with life limiting and life threatening conditions.

Barbara has a Master in clinical psychology. Having worked in the Department of Palliative Medicine, TATA Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, she moved back to Goa with the intention to give back to her community. Besides being the secretary of the society she is the coordinator of the children’s palliative care Centre Goa. She firmly believes that you need to be different to make a difference.

Treasurer

Temla Pinto, Economics Graduate, Treasurer of Novi Survat, joined because of a deep personal and moving encounter with two special needs children. She was struck by the inclusiveness of these children with family and friends. She hopes that she can spread awareness of the joy and satisfaction of caring for differently abled children and their families.

Dr. Megha Nevrekar attained her Master of Physiotherapy in Pediatrics from KLE’s Institute of Physiotherapy, Belgaum, in the year 2010. She has been working at Novi Survat physiotherapy center for the past 6 years. She likes working with children, and she feels her biggest achievement would be making a difference in the lives of the children and seeing a smile on the faces of their parents. She believes it’s important to establish a rapport with parents as it gives them a sense of comfort to share their difficulties with her.

Dr. Smisha Amogh Prabhu Parrikar

Dr. Smisha A. Prabhu Parrikar has completed her Bachelor in Physiotherapy from KLE’s Institute of Physiotherapy, Belgaum. In the past, she has worked at Margao Physiotherapy clinic, Trimurti hospital, and J J Costa hospital before shifting base to Porvorim. She is the longest-serving therapist who joined Novi Survat Physiotherapy center in the year 2009 and continues to bloom. She claims that working at Novi Survat Physiotherapy center has given her a better outlook and a medium to channelize not only her professional interests but also humanitarian sphere. She feels happy just seeing the smile on the parents’ faces when the child succeeds in bridging a Milestone.

Dr. Deepti Ganesh Shirodkar

Dr.Deepti Ganesh Shirodkar has a Bachelor in physiotherapy from Rajiv Gandhi University Bangalore Karnataka. She had her own clinic in Margao from the year 2007 to 2009, after which she joined Disha special school for mentally challenged children Panjim. She began her journey at Novi Survat physiotherapy center from 2016 till date. Deepti loves to see her patients smiling after her sessions and makes sure she can bring about some progress in children who are differently-abled.

Eremita Has a Master’s degree in English from Shivaji University Kolhapur. She has been working at Starting Point charity school for underprivileged children from 2001 initially as teacher and now is the principal. Giving to the needy brings her more happiness rather than receiving. Happy to help and serve the needy.
